Since
you, the author, paid for publication of your book, in return for
this fee, we publish and help you in the marketing of your book.
If
you select our promotional option, and we have your books stored
in our warehouse, all orders received by mail, our TOLL-FREE phone
or fax will be processed by our Customer Service Department. We
will handle customer relations, invoicing and shipping. All sales
are carefully recorded by our Accounting Department. You will receive
a semiannual statement of any sales activity that may have occurred,
along with a check for any receipts derived from your book sales.
You
will receive 40% of the retail price of every book sold at standard
discounts. The average bookseller gets 40% of the retail price and
Laredo Publishing receives 20% for storing, distribution, billing
and collection of receipts applied to your book. If your book is
sold at the retail price you will receive 80% from the cash we receive.
If
the demand for your book warrants subsequent printings, they are
issued entirely at our expense.
