When
you send in your manuscript, typed and double spaced with a SASE
if you want it returned, our editorial staff evaluates your publishing
project. Upon completion of this review:
You
will receive an assessment of your manuscript. If it needs rewriting,
we will assign you to a writer who will correct your manuscript
in its technical content, and with your approval make the proper
corrections.
We
will choose and recommend the design that is more appropriate, illustrations,
colors, covers, dimensions and binding.
We
will provide you with a cost estimate, based on the design options
and the quantity to be produced. Since there are so many ways of
designing and printing a book, it is better if you don't try to
figure out what the book will cost you. It usually takes our estimators
a day or two to get back to you with more accurate figures. We usually
print 1000 copies, but if your budget does not allow you, we may
quote you on 500 copies. Please let us know ahead of time.
We
cater to the individual, group or business wanting a small number
of books at an affordable price. Since every project we take is
usually different and because we do not give boiler plate formats,
every project may have a different cost structure. However, once
we initially evaluate your book or creative project, we will give
you a detailed base price and optional features costs if necessary.
All the costs will be known to you up front, you will then have
an idea of your development costs before any work is started. We
will confirm all the particulars with a written contract. There
are no extra or hidden charges unless you pre-approve them in writing.
The cost per page for typesetting varies according to the submitted
manuscript format. If you own a computer you most probably will
send us disks containing your ms. The charge to place your text
into the newly designed book pages is $5.00 per book page. If we
have to scan a typewritten manuscript, the charge is $7.00 per page
for typesetting. Typesetting includes the title page, copyright
page, table of contents, running heads, spell checking, page numbering,
footnotes and indexes. We will also place, size, and format captions
for your photos. The cost to produce your book is determined by
its size, the number finished pages, the number of books produced,
the typesetting, and cover design. The cost per book goes down as
the quantity increases.
Upon
receipt of our estimated bid you can contact us to discuss any questions
you may have about our bid. Our personalized service has already
begun. Remember that we are only a phone call away. Once you accept
our proposal an agreement is drafted and upon receipt of your advance
deposit your book is on its way of becoming a reality.
Previous
to publication and if you have not done it already, we will register
and copyright your book in your name with the Register of Copyrights
of the Library of Congress to obtain a Certificate of Copyright.
The year in which your book is copyrighted will appear on the copyright
page of your book. The copyright protects and assures you a full
custody of all rights and income. We will also request a Library
of Congress Catalog number and assign an ISBN number to be included
in your book.
